Vadim Korobov LTU ICF SUP VICE WORLDCHAMPION OPEN SPRINT 2025 LTU:
"I’m not someone who talks a lot — I prefer to stick to the facts.
The most important factors I love about the LightboardCorp Paradoxa are-
First of all, its weight. It’s incredibly light, which gives you the advantage of exploding off the start line from the very first strokes.
Second, its construction — the board feels extremely solid, without any flex or wobble under you.
Third, and just as important, is the lowered standing area compared to other boards. It gives you more stability, so all the power you generate goes straight into the stroke rather than into balancing."
And lastly — but definitely not least — the LightboardCorp Paradoxa is a stylish board. The outlines are simply beautiful.
I’m used to moving through life with style — in everything, including sport. And I can confidently say that style matters in a board just as much as performance."
Francisco Giusti ARG ICF SUP WORLDCHAMPION TECH Master 40+ 2025:
"Do you meet a heat and the next day you're fighting for the gold medal? That's how it went down in Sarasota. Only with a Paradoxa does that happen. And after grinding on it for a whole year, I went for what was rightfully mine: the gold medal. The day I tried the Paradoxa for the first time, I knew we were going to go far. I have boards from all brands at my school, but nothing compares—on the Paradoxa you feel like you're part of the water. There's no other formula for going faster on the water."

lightboardcorp have figured out the best formula with Paradoxa design. Acceleration off the start line is unmatched, lightweight, stable combined with seamless

Normen Weber GER German Champion:
"My 21 Paradoxa is light as a feather at 8.7 kg. I've never ridden a faster board.
It's as easy and quick to pick up speed as it is perfectly crafted.
Overall, top quality. An excellent board 😍"

"My first board that I used for one year and never had to repair.... Otherwise, good stability, fast ride, nice colors! I came 5th in the World Championship in Abu Dhabi in 40+ with paradoxa 22". I bought a narrower one "
Edith Turcotte CAN ICF SUP WORLDCHAMPION 50+ 2025:
Discovered the Paradoxa during the ICF SUP World Championship 2025 as I needed a board and the only 21’’ left to rent was the Paradoxa. Was not sure about the depth of the dugout but as soon as I stepped onto the board, it was like I had been riding this board forever. Super stable, fast and easy to maneuver. Great on beach starts and bouy turns. Looking forward to the hot weather so I can push my limits on my new Paradoxa !
Roberto Mandoloni ITA:
"I tested the Lightcorp Paradoxa as a flatwater race SUP. I initially started paddling the 14x22 size and, beyond the amazing glide, I was blown away by its stability, given by the extremely low center of gravity – I’d even say below sea level. I weigh 78 kg and I’m approaching 55 years old, and I still went for an upgrade to the narrower 14x21. I have to say it’s by far the most stable 21 I’ve ever used! As for the glide… there’s nothing to argue about: it runs incredibly smoothly, it’s a record-breaking board."
Johan Skärskog SWE:
"I just wanted to tell you that I’m very happy with my Paradoxa. The combination of very low standing area, great shape and light weight makes it very fast and at the same time extremely stable to be only 22″.
Emmanuelle Marcon FRA:
"I wanted to tell you that the board is absolutely amazing ! On the last Alpine Lakes Tour race, a race that I do every year, I improved my average speed 0.2 to 0.3 km/h.
A lot of people asked questions or tryed the board. This new board really gives me a new motivation after 10 years of sup racing !"
"I have been on 80 cm waves upwind / downwind on lake Geneva and it was like being on an allwater board !"
Bálacs Scili HUN:
“This was the first board I felt I could be fast on, much faster than before – (because) it’s light! This was the first board that really helped me, from the very first moment. It’s very stable, I could stand on a 21', and now I use a 20'. No one can compete with it in terms of its stiffness and technology. The shape is amazing, the color can be as unique as you want. I was among the first to have one in Hungary, and now their number is exploding. It’s no coincidence. ;-)”
Manuel Lauble´s answer to the totalsup question if the paradoxa does live up to the hype GER:
"Haha, it’s actually still underhyped. The performance, acceleration and top speed combined with the extremely high stability at 22″ is just paradoxical. The rounder rails underwater and the softer lines at the nose (compared to my Indiana) help me in choppy conditions and in races, especially when entering and exiting drafts and side waves. The extremely low standing position in the cockpit is made possible by the drainage valve system, which lets water out but not in, giving taller athletes a low centre of gravity and therefore extra stability."
Thomas Fagerstöm SWE:
"Hi Gerd,
Good news for the Paradoxa in last weekend's Finnish SUP Championships. In the mens, the Paradoxa took first and second place in all three disciplines: distance, 200m sprint and tech. I managed to take gold in the 200m. In the distance Lauri Palmrooth beat me by one second in the final sprint over the finish line. In the tech race I opted for another board as I haven't hade the time to practice my turns just yet. Second place anyway and Lauri took the gold, again with the Paradoxa."
Ole Dettmann GER:
This season I’ve been riding the Paradoxa "22 – and it’s been my best Masters 50 season ever! Whether it’s sprint, tech, or long distance, the Paradoxa is my weapon of choice. Lightning-fast off the line, super stable, turning fast – just an incredible board! Huge thanks to Gerd Weisner and the entire Light Board Corp team for creating this masterpiece. I’m excited for more boards to come and proud to be part of the team!

"This board is just incredible, it succeeds in combining an incredible stability (primary and secondary) with wonderful glide capabilities. It doesn't stick to water like some other stable boards from other brands. Its ultralight weight combined to its rigidity allows it to be extremely reactive, it responds immediately to paddle stroke. An engineering marvel who does not have any equivalent in actual sup race board production."
"Cette planche est juste incroyable, elle réussit à concilier une stabilité bluffante (primaire et secondaire) avec une excellente glisse. Elle ne colle pas à l'eau comme certaines planches très stables peuvent le faire. Son poids ultralight combiné à sa rigidité lui permet d'être extrêmement réactive, elle répond au moindre coup de rame. Une merveille d'ingénierie dont le résultat n'a vraiment pas d'égal dans la production actuelle."
Paco Freens NED:
In a nutshell Paradoxa 24.5 for heavy paddlers - it's a very forgiving, stable board in choppy water, and due to the wide block tail, very comfortable for heavy and tall guys during buoy turns, while being fast. This is a very uncommon combination, where often control is a trade off with speed.
Carsten Hanke GER:
"Kann ich nur bestätigen! Das neue Light Board Corp Paradoxa verändert alles! In den ersten 2 Rennen auf der Paradoxa 22 gewann ich gleich die M50 Kategorie in Kempen und dann sogar die Gesamtwertung in Beyenburg. Vielen Dank an Gerd Weisner ."
Tero Naninnen FIN:
"Went for a test ride on sunday morning and man this board is sweet. The stability is just incredible for a 23' wide board, more stable than Starboard All Star 24.5 I had for a month last autumn; I was immediately comfortable and relaxed paddling it despite coming directly from almost 5 month winter break. Handled some side wind/waves without an issue. I was supposed to take the first ride quite easy (drysuit is insanely hot when pushing hard) but after doing some ok 500 m split times by accident on a relaxed paddling pace, I adjusted my paddle to shorter length and tried paddling one 500 m split a bit harder. Ended up breaking my personal 500 m record by a few seconds despite wearing a drysuit and all the rust from winter break (old record was set on a Sic Maui XRS 22' after months of paddling training last september). So my real life experience confirms what you said about stability, leverage etc. leverage on your recent Tech Talk video. There may be boards that are equally fast or faster in hands of young, lightweight super athletes with incredible balance, but for a mortal like myself the Paradoxa feels quite perfect."
Olivier Comazzi SUI:"
During the 2023 ICF world championships in Pattaya I had the chance to test the new PARADOXA in 21" wide and also in 22". It is a well-designed hollow board and well thought out, light and rigid (due to its new carbon prepeg construction wich is different from other older Lightcorp models). The very low stance deck was the part that interested me the most and I was not disappointed! (Low gravity center = more stability, so you can use a less wider board to go faster..) The board is incredibly stable for its width, more than any other boards I've tried in my life at the same width. It feels like you're on a paddle that's 2 to 3 inches wider. It's quite impressive, even in choppy water you're comfortable and you can concentrate on your paddle without worrying about stability. Under the deck, the draining valves prevent water from entering on the deck, so it's simple and work perfectly to keep your feet dry. Also under the board, rails are squared +/- from middle to the tail, so it also help for primary stability feeling. Second stability is very good too, you can push and go far on a side before falling. The large square tail didn't disturbs me, I didn't feel like it was sticking or sucking water. The hull rises just enough towards the tail. On the other hand, it helps a lot for buoys turns cause it still very stable and confortable. As I said above, it's light and rigid, so the board provides instant acceleration, and it responds to the slightest paddle stroke. The glide is very good, I have no doubts about the capabilities of this board on flat water, to me it's a weapon of choice! (Especially given the performances of Peter Weidert during these championships who won 2 world titles: Sprints and long distance, + 2nd in technical race in his age category, so I think that the board has proven itself well). The rear deck which goes up is perhaps surprising during the first buoys turns and it took me a little time to get used to it, but after a little use, I felt confortable with that. So I think I could also use it for some technicals races if it's not too chopp. To me, this board could well be ideal on flat water for long distance races. But it also seems to do well when water start to move a little. Finaly I found it quite versatile for a flatwater board. In short, it’s a board that I would really like! For my 72 kg I felt allright on the 21" wide, or even on a 20" if that existed... The 22" wide was obviously even more stable, and only little difference in terms of speed, but not too much interest for me given my small size."

Wide tail, low stand, easy to draft but again LOW STAND make so big advantages to focus on paddling , not for balance and easy to get on top speed or average after the turn.
