Where should I start - it has been a great long weekend of racing, meeting friends and great characters.
The Tahitian guys around Steve spread island vibes and they are really friendly down to earth characters.
Thanks to Ernstfried and Sepp to make the event happen.
And we are happy and proud about the efforts and results of our team riders. First races have been the 200 m sprints - fastest paddler on earth. Peter Weigert took at 6th place, Herrmann Husslein a strong 7th and Thomas Kreisel a solid result for 45years + . Julia won first day the 3k warm up race. They all started on the LIGHT Signature14x 23 .
Friday has been the day for the European ISUP Championship in 12´6 and 14' class. All our team has been racing on the new protos featuring the new inflatable boards with ICT carbon layers - without doubt the most stiff ISUPS in the race. Wind has been strong and conditions pretty tough for the 11k race.
Peter took 3rd place in the 12'6 class, Gerd 11th, Herrmann was in the lead pack of the 14' class for aw while and finished 9th. Funny a top competitors rider borrowed our Platin 14 x 25 and finished 6th place.
Julia nailed it and reached a 4th place in the women's 12'6 class.
Saturday showdown 19k LOSTMILLS 14' hardboards. Most of the team started on the LIGHT Signature 14 x 23 and he larger guys on the 14 x 24.75 . Wind has been still quite strong. Peter finished in 1:56 and took 11th place, Michael Frosch 22nd, Thomas 35th, Gerd 39th and Edgar - heads up on the ISUP 48th. Check out the gallery below and heaps of thanks to Mendy and all our friends especially Andrea or the great shots - unbeatable action between Hermann and his opponent...
